Do I have to drain the fuel and fluids etc from the car?

A:

No. We are a licensed waste carrier, registered with the Environment Agency and the car is disposed of by a licensed vehicle dismantler. These fluids are removed as part of the end of life vehicle disposal process.

 

Q:

What happens to my car after you take is away?

A:

Rambo Recovery are committed to the responsible recycling of End of Life Vehicles. Your vehicle passes through a three stage process after we remove it.

 

1. We take the vehicle back to our workshop.

The vehicle is taken to back to our workshop where the administrative details are taken care of.
 

2. The End of Life Vehicle is taken to a licensed vehicle dismantler for disposal.

The vehicle is depolluted. This involves the removal and treatment of the main pollutants including:
  • Battery Acid
  • Refrigerant Gas
  • Brake Fluid
  • Fuel Oil
  • Lubricant
 

3. The End of Life Vehicle is crushed.

The vehicle is crushed and shredded. The ferrous metal in the body is extracted magnetically. Other metals are separated manually and sold off as scrap.
